Why I Started Writing Again…
A short personal essay
Most people think that what bloggers do is a piece of cake. People who actually go somewhere with their blog put in a lot of effort and hard work. It’s not at all easy to come up with fresh ideas and consistently publish new content.
With a very demanding full-time job, it’s really not easy to be consistent with writing. You don’t have enough time to write and your brain is so fried from working that you just don’t have what it takes to be creative. It’s worse if you’re working an analytical job.
If you’re not consistent, your blog quickly fades. The whole idea of writing is for someone to read your writing. I’m not going to sit here and pretend that the validation isn’t important, whether that translates to money or not. Without the validation, you lose interest. I did too and I stopped writing.
This year has been a year of reflection and change for all of us. I know most of us have stopped to think about what we’ve been doing with our lives. While there aren’t many parts of my life that I can change, there’s at least one thing that I can do. Write.
It started with the idea of expressing what I felt. I started writing for my personal blog again. I chose to write whatever I wanted — stories about my day, my opinions, my thoughts. The more I wrote, the more…
