Don’t just fight it

3 min readAug 26, 2023

You look at your life and think I want change. I want to ditch this 9–5 life and break free. I want to live life on my own terms.

But something holds you back.

Fear. The answer almost always is fear.

We all fear something.

The fear of what people say.

The fear of the unknown.

The fear of failing.

It’s never easy to take that first step to break free. You have a million questions running through your head and you live in constant worry asking yourself the basic question: what if it doesn’t work out?

There’s absolutely nothing wrong with that.

And then you take that big step and decide to quit that job and have a go at it. But, you still grapple with the unknown everyday. You still worry about whether we will make it.

Our fears always hold us back. It stops us from doing things that we should we doing because we don’t want to know the result. If you don’t know write, you can’t get rejected. But, that is not building and soon you’ll give into that fear of failing and fail yourself.
